Conservation Grazing in Practice

30th Sept - 1st Oct 2015

Places avaliable at Ebworth, Gloucester and West Moss-Side, Stirling, Scotland.

And introduction to entensive/conservation grazing and the use of livestock to acheieve envrionmental objectives.

The course covers:

  • Grazing and grazing systems
  • Animals health, welfare and behaviour
  • The key legislation, the role and responsibilities of a keeper and the health & safety and risk assessments
  • How to safely and effectively carry out livestock handling techniques

Conservation Grazing in Practice is a 2 day course - £310 + VAT (includes lunch but not accommodation) and is a mix of outdoor practical sessions and indoor classroom work.

GAP training courses are accredited by Lantra Awards. Delegates will receiev a certificate by post after successful completion of the course. All trainers used by GAP are also accredited by Lantra. 

A detailed workbook will be provided for extra notes and a CD which includes welfare codes, factsheets, contacts and additional information.
